Samsung S5230 / S5233A Star

There are two models of Samsung S5230 Star one comes with WIFI and the other model does not have it.

This Tutorial can be used to update the firmware of Samsung S5230 Start and S5230w Star WiFi too.

Firmware Update Steps:

1. Run Samsung S5230 Downloader and select BRCM2133.
2. If you want to flash Boot files then check: Full Download
3. For Boot select the Boot files Folder from the Firmware folder which you want to use.
4. For Apps select: apps_compressed.bin
5. For Rsrc1 select: Rsrc_S5230_Open_Europe_Common.rc1
6. For Rsrc2 select: Rsrc2_S5230(Low).rc2
7. For Factory FS select: FactoryFs_S5230_Open_Europe_Common.ffs
8. Put the phone into download mode: Press Volume down + Camera + Power.
9. Connect the phone to PC by USB cable and click Port Search to make sure of good connection.
10. Click Download to start the process and wait till the phone rebooted.
11. Do full reset : *2767*3855#
