How To Update Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 Firmware - Stock Firmware

In this device you can enjoy the 16MP camera with all its features like autofocus, 21x optical zoom, pop-up Xenon flash, And AF light, Also you get Jelly Bean version installed on it.

This Guide will help you to understand the complete process of updating The Firmware of your Galaxy Camera by using original USB cable as connection tool and stock firmware in addition to the most known program to do the update, It is Odin flasher.

Firmware Update Tools:

- Original USB Cable.
- Stock Firmware Package: Check at Galaxy Camera firmwares page and get what you want from it, And extract the zip file to be used later.
- Odin program: Get it from Samsung Flashing Programs page and extract it.
- Download Original USB Drivers from Here and install them on your PC then restart it.


Galaxy Camera Firmware Update Steps:

- Turn Off your Galaxy camera and take out its battery and memory card.

- Run Odin program and then check the following settings at program window:

Re-Partition ( Only if you have Galaxy Camera *.Pit file and Full firmware package).
Auto Reboot.
F.Reset Time.

- To update your Galaxy Camera you should select the firmware files in Odin program, And that is an easy step you can do it by:

Click on PIT button and select *.pit file.
Click on PDA button and select: CODE_GC100xxxxxx_....tar.md5
Click on PHONE button and select: MODEM_GC100xxxxx_....tar.md5
Click on CSC button and select: CSC_Oxx_GC100Oxxxxxx_....tar.md5

- At this step you have to put your Galaxy Camera into Download Mode and that can be done like this:

Put the battery back into it but do not turn it on, Instead Press Shutter button + On/Off button at the same time till you see the warning message, Now press Shutter button only to enter to Download Mode of Galaxy Camera.

- Connect the Galaxy Camera to your PC using its Original USB cable and windows will start installing the needed drivers, Wait till is it done and then move to the next step.

- In order to know that the connection is good between the PC and the Camera you must look at Odin's window and make sure that it detects the Com port which your Camera takes, It looks like this 0:[COMxx] when xx is the com number.

- You are ready to start updating the Camera so just click on Start button and wait.

- Odin program will start to download the selected firmware files to your Galaxy Camera and reboot it after that.

- Wait till your Camera is rebooted and look at Odin's window and if the update is done correctly then you will notice PASS! word.

- Disconnect USB cable from The Galaxy Camera and do full reset by this code: *2767*3855#.

- After you enter the above code the camera will be rebooted once again, Wait for it to be fully on and then start to customize it and use it to take new great photos.




Important Notices:
- To get into the Factory Mode of Samsung Galaxy Camera you can go to Calculator app then type this code: +30012012732+
- You can use the factory mode to check your firmware version by this code: *#1234#
- Use Stable PC for the update and never use USB Hub to connect the device to it.
- Fully charge your device's battery before updating it.
- Keep in mind to backup any wanted data from your device before the update.
- If the firmware package contains only one big file then use it in PDA field and no need to check Re.Partition option or use Pit file.
